Moroccan director and screenwriter Wissal Jabri holds a Master's degree in Directing from the Marrakech School of Visual Arts and a Bachelor's degree from the Higher Institute of Audiovisual and Cinema Professions in Rabat. Through her films, she explores human relationships and the subtle tension between presence and absence, often drawing on the expressive power of Moroccan landscapes. She directed the short films "Across the Hills" and "On Hold", the latter developed through the UNESCO × Tamayouz AYWA residency programme. She also works as an assistant director on Moroccan film and television productions.
