In the hills of Tangier, in the middle of the forest, stands a decaying mansion: La Mansouria. Lina lives there with her father Anis, her grandmother Amina, and the maid Chinwiya. The father and daughter share a passion: birds. It is summer. Amina has agreed to organize a wedding for the family. Amina urges her family to accept a real estate offer that would make them all billionaires. Anis refuses to sell. Worse, he renounces his property rights. He wants to donate his share to the birds for eternity. And suddenly, the wind changes: a first fire, of unknown origin, starts in the hills. A rain of birds descends on the forest…

Leïla Kilani, based between Tangier and Paris, holds degrees in economics and Mediterranean history and civilization. She began her career in documentaries with notable films such as “Tangiers, the burners’ dream” (2002) and “Our forbidden places” (2008), before making her first feature film, “On the plank”, which was presented at the Directors Fortnight at Cannes in 2011. “Indivision” is her second feature film.
