Mo Chunlin, Ke Rong
Liu Miaomiao, part of China’s renowned “Fifth Generation” of filmmakers alongside Zhang Yimou and Chen Kaige, was born in 1962 in Yinchuan, Ningxia. A graduate of the Beijing Film Academy in 1982, she gained international recognition with "Chatterbox" (1993), awarded at the Venice Film Festival. Former director of the Ningxia Film Studios and guest professor in Beijing, she remains deeply rooted in her native region. Her films, including "Red Flowers and Green Leaves" (2018) and "The Balloon Tent" (2023), portray with sensitivity the lives of rural communities in northern China.
