Veronika began her artistic journey studying cultural theory, screenwriting, and dramaturgy before turning to documentary directing at FAMU in Prague. Drawing from personal loss, she infused her film "Year of the Widow" with deep emotional resonance. Her first feature "Daniel’s World" premiered at the Berlinale, followed by "The Visitors", which debuted in Locarno and was shown at over 40 international festivals. "Year of the Widow" marks her narrative feature debut.
