Born in France to Polish parents, Julia explores her relationship with her country of origin through her films, with recurring themes as the working class, exile, adolescence, family, sexuality, and faith, alternating between fiction and documentary. After directing several short films, her first feature, "Spit Heart", was presented in 2016 at Cannes in the ACID selection. Her second feature, "May My Will Be Done", premiered at the Cannes Directors Fortnight. Alongside her fillmmaker's career, she teaches acting at various film and theater schools.
