A committed figure in Moroccan civil society, Aïcha Benkhedra devoted an important part of her life to community, cultural and civic engagement, working with dedication in the service of society and the transmission of knowledge.
As a member of the Executive Board of the Bouregreg Association, she actively contributed to community life in Salé and to various social and cultural initiatives. As the founder of the Friends of Fatima Mernissi Association, she also contributed to preserving and promoting the memory and intellectual legacy of Moroccan writer and sociologist Fatima Mernissi.
Through her various commitments, Aïcha Benkhedra is remembered as a woman deeply devoted to culture, the transmission of knowledge and civic action. The Salé International Women’s Film Festival pays tribute to her memory and her remarkable journey, in recognition of her commitment to civil society and culture.
